For Outlook 2010 and 2013
Step 1: Click on File and then select Options.
Step 2: In the Outlook options dialog box, select Advanced in the left menu bar.
– Step 3: You move to the RSS Feeds section. Then, uncheck the two items “Any RSS Feed item that is updated appears as new” and “Synchronize RSS Feeds to the Common Feed List (CFL) in Windows” to turn off RSS. Then click OK to finish.

For Outlook 2007
– Step 1: You click Click on Tools and then select Options.
