The steam from the steam supply tank (jar 1) flows through the container containing the distillate materials (tank 2), pulling the materials to be distilled (essential oil, terpenes, …).

The mixture of steam and raw materials to be distilled is condensed when passing through the condenser and then stored in a conical flask.

Because the distillate is slightly soluble in water, the condensate is separated into two layers, the upper layer is the distillate and the lower layer is water. To obtain the pure material that needs distillation, we use extraction method.
