Watching: What is Mnemonic
1. What is Mnemonics Method
?First of all, Mnemonics in English means memorization, so Mnemonics is the name of this learning method. It is a technique or maybe a “trick” that you can learn and remember easily.
You use things you already know or are easy to learn to connect with things you don’t know. Mnemonics can be words, memories, a story, a picture, an acronym, a song, a dance, or anything you can imagine.
This method of learning may be a bit strange, but you must have known and used it during your school days. Since elementary school you have learned to remember which month is 31 days, which month is 30 days by counting hands.
Or like going to chemistry classes, there are rhymes, folk songs, etc., very good about chemical formulas that help you remember and never forget chemical symbols, chemical equations, etc., even though chemistry is a very difficult subject. not easy to learn.
Or with Japanese too, when I was studying at the elementary level, group 2 irregular verbs really gave me a lot of trouble. But when I put what I learned into the reality around me, thinking about a close story, the thing that scared me makes me the most confident.
From here you can also understand in the simplest way that Mnemonics is the application of the knowledge you learn into the closest images, stories, and examples to remember.
Scroll down further, I will tell you how to learn this method right here!
2. Mnemonics Method helps me memorize all N3 kanji in just 1 month of learning
It sounds great, learning all the knowledge for the exam in just 1 month, it seems like a myth but I can do it even though I’m not a smart person.
Analyze the structure of words, get the story to remember!
Mnemonics Method helped me do that. With Japanese, you know it’s not very special, because instead of learning only 1 alphabet like English, Chinese, etc., I have to learn 3 alphabets but also ideograms. It was overwhelming at the first lessons.
With 2 alphabets, Hiragana (soft script) and Katakana (hard script), the letters don’t have many strokes, I can self-study by copying over and over again, but what about the Kanji alphabet? Impossible, it takes a lot of your time.

Kanji characters are derived from Chinese characters, so there are many strokes, especially in Japanese, what you have to remember 3 alphabets at once is a torture for you. I was struggling with copying and copying a word on a whole page, but just doing something I could forget as if I had never studied.
How long does it take you to memorize words?
And then I found the Mnemonics Method – the method to save me from the quicksand, a great assistant in my “Conquering Chinese characters”. This Mnemonics Method is also mentioned on the net, but it is quite difficult to use it to its fullest extent.

I have studied to the N3 level (intermediate level) and know a bit about Japanese, but I am overwhelmed with the knowledge at this level. Grammar is too much, vocabulary is too much, Chinese characters are too many. In comparison, the combined knowledge of N5 + N4 is only half of the knowledge of N3. So how did I use the Mnemonics Method to learn all the kanji in one month? Read on!
First, to make it easier to remember kanji, people often attach stories to it (call it association or imagination). Because the special tense of Kanji is made up of many smaller components called kuto with its own meaning, with words that have non-player components, we assign the meaning to make it easier to remember.
Synthesize 214 sets of characters in kanji
I have separated each of those small components, each component is assigned an image and then reassembled into a story. However, I advise you not to do this by yourself because it takes a lot of time, you have not finished learning the word, you still have to sit and think about it, it will take a long time to learn it all.
Instead, I found the book “Conquer Chinese characters N3” to help me do that. What I need to do is just look at the examples and learn, and get started very quickly.
Don’t get out, keep watching, I show you this is great…
